Having been officially introduced to your guests as the new Mr and Mrs for the first time, during your champagne wedding reception, the celebrations may now continue in style, with your Wedding Breakfast.
Prestige Scotland is our catering partner and their team at Dundas Castle are dedicated to bringing a wealth of experience to help plan your menu and beverages for the day. They will guide you through our extensive menus and wine list to help you choose those which suit you and your guests.
Trevor Garden, our Head Chef, is as passionate about the presentation of each dish as he is about the taste, so your wedding breakfast is guaranteed to be imaginative and inspired. With years of experience for sourcing only the finest ingredients, Trevor and his team travel throughout Europe and beyond to ensure that each dish contains flavours and textures that you and your guests will never forget.
To complement these exquisite dishes, Dundas Castle is able to offer a choice of settings to suit your wedding day. For a wedding party of up to 60, you are able to entertain your guests in the elegant Croquet room. Located within the main house, the dining room with its open fire, impressive chandeliers and large Georgian windows provides an abundance of light by day or striking views across the floodlit estate by night.
Should your numbers exceed 60, the Chandelier-Lit Pavilion which is next to the main house, can host your guests for your wedding breakfast and a variety of after dinner entertainment possibilities. By making use of our elegant partition, a wedding with as few as 60 guests and as many as 180 can be accommodated in the luxurious 5 star style that you will have been accustomed to in the main house.
During the long summer evenings, your guests can spill out onto the manicured lawns adjacent to the Pavilion to make the most of the balmy Scottish weather. For a winter wedding, with the drawn in nights your guests can move from the cosiness of the open fires within the main house to the candle lit Pavilion. With its floor to ceiling windows providing a dramatic outlook up to the floodlit castle, you have the perfect backdrop for any live music or dancing that follows your first dinner with your guests as husband and wife.
For an intimate wedding breakfast with up to 23 of your guests, the Stag Chamber within the Auld Keep provides the perfect ambiance for a medieval banquet. Complete with pewter charger plates, goblets and candelabras, what can be more memorable and romantic than dining by candle light surrounded by the high ceilings and original 3 feet thick walls of this 15th Century building.
